“Is There More to Life than This?”

This fall Alpha is taking place locally at Coastal Community Church:

What is Alpha? The Alpha Film Series is a ten-week journey with friends around conversations that explore life, faith, and spirituality in a non-judgmental, honest and open environment. Join us for a preview dinner and see if this is a journey you would like to begin.

WHAT HAPPENS AT ALPHA?

Each Alpha evening includes three parts: food, a film and great conversation.

FOOD: This is a chance to get acquainted, share a meal, make new friends, and laugh at your emcee’s amazing jokes.

FILM: The Alpha Film Series is an introduction to the historic and global Christian faith. Each 25 minute episode looks at a different question about faith and is designed to create conversation.

Questions include:

• Is there more to life than this?

• Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus die?

• How can I have faith?

• How and why should I pray?

• How and why should I read the Bible?

• Who is the Holy Spirit?

• How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?

• How can I resist evil?

• Does God heal today?

• What about the church?

CONVERSATION: After the film you will have the opportunity to respond to the issues raised in the film, share your thoughts, and hear from others in your group. You can feel free to say whatever you like or as little as you like, it's up to you.

Cost: Alpha is free. Meals are subsidized by the generous gifts of Alpha alumni.
