Pastor Kurt Pflegl,

Kurt has been serving as a pastor for almost 20 years. He served in different pastoral roles for several large churches in Las Vegas before moving to the Central Coast in 2014. God called him here to plant Elevate Christian Church in San Luis Obispo. He and his wife Sheri have been married for 30 years and have two adult daughters, Mackenzie and Sydney. Kurt's hope is to help Coastal Community Church continue growing into greater heights of authenticity and sacrificial love so that God uses us to impact every person on the Central Coast.
Zedekiah Fries,
Minister of Family Worship & Minister for Youth
Zedekiah, or Zed for short, grew up in Fresno, CA. He studied Psychology and Music at Whitworth University in Spokane, WA. After moving back, he worked at Calvin Crest Conferences as both a Program Specialist and then as the Assistant Director for the Outdoor Education Program, teaching inner city 6th graders about nature and science. From there, he moved down to Ojai, CA to work as the Middle School Director for Ojai Presbyterian Church for two years, where he was responsible for ministering to 5th-8th graders. Throughout all of these experiences and occupations, he has continued to lead worship and it has become a notable and significant part of his life. Now, he is excited about leading worship at Coastal Community Church and about growing as a leader in the Youth Ministry.
Rob Coghill,
Minister of Operations (Chronicler of Miracles)
Rob joined the staff at Coastal Community Church in January 2019 after retiring from a 25-year career as a Commercial Loan Officer at a series of community banks, both on the Central Coast and in Northern California. He and his wife, Lonnie, have been married for over 42 years and raised three children. They have lived on the Central Coast since 2005, and are raising their amazing granddaughter, Trinity. In addition to the bookkeeping, Rob oversees facilities and anything else that needs to be done. Rob is glad to have the opportunity to serve the CCC congregation and to join in what God is doing here!
April Rock,
Minister of Children & Families
April is a graduate of the Theology Department at Whitworth University, the Christian Education Department at Princeton Theological Seminary and the Teacher Preparation Program at Princeton University. She has worked in church ministry and para-church ministry throughout the past two decades, and she has worked as a classroom teacher. April appreciates the privilege of walking with others as we all discover how it is that God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - wants to bless us next. April often shows up to church with scratched arms and sore hands from working in her garden.

Other than a few years in college, Joe has lived in the 5 cities and has been actively involved as a member of community in various aspects. He joined the team at Coastal Community Church in the winter of 2020. He has a broad array of interests including but not limited to coaching sports, off-roading, and playing video games. He and his 4 kids are so thankful to call the central coast home.
